The Committee of Vice-Chancellors and Directors (CVCD) confer the CVCD Excellence Awards once every 2 years since 2006 to recognize, appreciate and honor the outstanding contributions and accomplishments in research, innovation and invention by the staff in the University system.

Three categories of awards will be conferred

i.e

The Outstanding Senior Researcher and The Most Outstanding Young Researcher in six fields of study and The Most outstanding Inventor.

Final selection of the awards is made by the CVCD based on the recommendations of the Panels of Judges.

As discussed at the 431^st CVCD Meeting held on the 04th of June 2020 The CVCD will be calling for applications for CVCD Excellence Awards 2020.
